Hello LOLAT friends!
Just want to let you know there are things to be done to help our worthy cause, even at 91 with limited options!
This is my list so far:
I have attended all the NO KINGS protests.
I attended a NO KINGS protest (when on vacation in Palm Beach) held on the Southern Boulevard Bridge marching towards Mar-A-Largo, but stopped 3/4 of the way there by a sniper fully armed from head to toe holding a long gun standing on top of police SWAT van!
I donated to WGBH to help keep public broadcasting viable.
I donated to the CONTRARIAN, an independent online newspaper.
The journalists there have left traditional media to report accurately without oversight from CEO’s accountable to the Trump administration. Some of the funds also go to fighting the administration in court. Their latest victory was to restore the Kennedy Center and remove Trump’s name, forthcoming two year closure and board of directors.
I’ve watched CBS 60 MINUTES every Sunday evening for many years and have stopped since new ownership has stripped away the integrity and accuracy that has been their hallmark, to please Trump.
Perhaps not earth shattering, but something that I could do to join in, help and contribute even in a small way.
I believe their’s another event coming up this month, will let you know when I have more information to share.
